Sunday School

Middle School, Teens, and Adults

Pastor Judd photoPastor Matthew Judd

The combined adult and teens Sunday School class is studying the Westminster Shorter Catechism under the leadership of Pastor Judd. (Team teaching with the elders.)

The class has been dealing with such topics as: worship, parenting, and living in the world. We have begun a practical study on the Ten Commandments seeking to flesh out what it means to live as God’s people in the 21st century. This fall we will be looking at the fourth through the tenth commandments, including topics such as parenting, caring for elderly parents, violence in the media, abortion, euthanasia, stewardship and finances, contentment, and more. We are using the Westminster Shorter Catechism for our jumping off point.
The Shorther Catechism is available here.
A PDF file with full proof texts is also available from the OPC web site

Men's Ministry

Our Men’s Ministry has been redesigned from its former plan of one monthly meeting. The proposal presented at the congregational meeting includes several opportunities for the men of the church to be supporting and encouraging of one another in the things of the Lord. On Wednesdays there is a morning coffee meeting (6:30 to 7:30 a.m.) to discuss the sermon from the previous Lord's Day and have a time of prayer (location to be determined). There is an evening Bible Study with rotating leadership held on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. (first one at the church with future meeting locations to be determined). And on the 3rd Saturday of each month, there will be a Men's Breakfast (8:18 to 10:10 a.m. "so you can be on time"). Contact the church office if you have any questions or would like to know more about these opportunities.

Women's Ministry

There is Ladies' Bible Study group which meets during the school year for Bible study, fellowship, and prayer. The group meets twice monthly (on Tuesday mornings) and is currently using the book Becoming a Woman of Prayer by Cynthia Heald to guide the study. You can find the next date for the study on our Schedule page. Contact the church office if you would like more information about this group.
